Courts Rule on Drug Patents
After AstraZeneca’s loss of two patents covering its heart drug Toprol XL, Pfizer announced Wednesday that a federal court in the Northern District of Illinois upheld its U.S. patent for the active ingredient in its blockbuster hypertension drug."
