Antitrust Group Asks Department of Justice To Block Sale of Maytag

The American Antitrust Institute,a Non-profit think tank for promoting competition, asked the U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday to block Whirlpool's proposed purchase of Newton, Iowa based Maytag, or at least require the new company to spin off holdings in its laundry business.
